‘This is the time of the year when we hold our annual “Black Tie Event of Friends of Nepal-Los Angeles.” Every year we hold Black Tie Event on 3rd Saturday following the Nepali New year celebration as a networking and fundraising annual gala event. As many of you know, we started the tradition of the Black Tie Event in 2010 as a premier Southern California Nepali Event with Nepal’s Ambassador Dr Shankar Sharma as Chief Guest. During Black Tie Event of 2011, our chief guest was Nepal’s UN Ambassador Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya and Mr. Broughton Coburn, a noted inspirational speaker and a writer. This year we have invited Honorable minister of industry Mr. Anil Kumar Jha from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to be our chief guest.
The purpose of this event is networking among all the organizations that are either affiliated or interested with Nepal and Nepali community here in the US and help connect with all the businessmen and professionals of our community. Further, this event will serve as a major annual fundraising event for the Friends of Nepal-Los Angeles (FON-LA). FON-LA is a non-profit organization dedicated for the betterment of Nepalese community though networking, sharing, collaborating with organization of similar interest and fundraising and supporting other organization to implement projects that benefits Nepalese community members. FON-LA does not implement projects of its own.
The Black Tie Event 2012 is scheduled on April 28, 2012. This is a formal event with strict
formal dress code and the participation is by invitation only. We have tried with our best to accommodate to all the professionals and businessmen but if we have missed anyone, just give us a feedback at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
